BRIGDEN, ON – Monday, April 20, 2026 – People looking to learn more about volunteer opportunities at next year’s International Plowing Match (IPM) and Rural Expo coming to Lambton County, will have an opportunity to hear more at three Volunteer Information Nights scheduled for Alvinston, Point Edward, and Wilkesport.

Volunteer Information Nights will be held on the following dates at the following locations:

• Wilkesport Community Centre Meeting Room
  1622 Baby Line, Wilkesport, ON
  Tuesday, April 28, 2026 – 6:30 pm
• Alvinston Legion
  3259 Nauvoo Road, Alvinston, ON
  (Former Riverstone Restaurant)
  Wednesday, April 29, 2026 – 7pm
• Tourism Samia-Lambton
  1455 Venetian Blvd., Point Edward, ON
  Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – 6pm

At each of the Volunteer Information Sessions, attendees will hear about the various volunteer roles that are available as the Committee works to plan the 2027 IPM, to be held in Brigden, Ontario.

Pre-registration for a Volunteer Information Night is not required.

The 2027 IPM will be held in Lambton County from September 21 to 25, 2027. This one-of-a-kind celebration of agriculture and rural life offers visitors the opportunity to learn about agriculture, take in entertainment, watch plowing competitions, conduct agricultural business and meet new and old friends.

This year’s IPM will be held in Bruce County from September 22 to 26, 2026.
